Carolann is a Pennsylvania watercolor artist living in Lancaster County since 1996. Born in Queens, New York, Carolann and her husband have lived in many states while her husband Tom served in the US Navy and while raising their two sons. The beauty of Lancaster County and the relationships built there have made Lancaster their forever home.

Carolann has always been active in creative endeavors such as wood inlay, needlework, and country crafts, but it was in 2018 that she picked up a watercolor paint brush. Her beginnings in watercolor all began with a generous birthday gift from her father-in-law, George.

Carolann began her journey in watercolor attending workshops and online courses. Her passion for this medium grew quite quickly. She joined the Pennsylvania Watercolor Society, Lancaster County Art Association, LCAA Fair Weather Painters, and the Lititz Art Association. Finding mentors and becoming inspired by fellow artists have helped her advance her skill and expose her to new opportunities. Most recently, she ventured into painting with oils.

Carolann finds herself most drawn to Still Life, Florals and Landscapes. She draws inspiration from her surroundings and travel. She enjoys painting in her home studio as well as painting with LCAA Fair Weather Painters, a local Plein Air group. She has won numerous awards including LCAA’s Ann T. Fields Annual Award for Excellence in Watercolor Art, second place.

Carolann is generous with her time, stepping in to gallery sit or help with art related events. She offers original and print artwork for sale at Art shows, via gallery exhibits, online, and in select shops.
